Tyler and Gabriela first met at a Fourth of July party in Oxford, MS, during the summer before Gaby’s senior year and Tyler‘s grad school year. Despite their mutual friend groups and several friends dating throughout college, this was their first encounter. Although their accounts of meeting slightly differ, it is clear that Gaby lost a bet to Tyler about hitting a golf ball further than he could. After missing the ball entirely, she had to give Tyler her number.

Booked a spontaneous beach trip to Orange Beach, AL. This is where the memories of friends that will last a lifetime started to begin.

Tyler started to accompany Gaby to her senior date parties.

COVID hit and we were stuck in our Velvet Ditch; Oxford, MS. “The Velvet Ditch” is a term coined in the 1950s to describe Oxford and its surrounding areas, implying that it is easy to fall into its comforts, but hard to leave.

Tyler asked Gaby to be his Girlfriend on a pizza date.

Graduation for Gaby’s undergrad and Tyler’s Masters of Accountancy.

Tyler met the crazy Kiniry’s in Mexico and fit right in!

Long distance began & many flights were taken from Orlando, FL to Louisville, Ky with the Rellers!!

Lots of drives back n forth when Gabriela moved to Greenville, SC for school & Tyler was in Atlanta.

The families got together to visit Gabriela in Charleston, SC to start her new job

Little did Gabriela know Tyler had an elaborate plan to propose. She thought her brother was coming into town for his 30th birthday but he had other plans…. Tyler coordinated with her coworkers to get her off work and proposed at Cheekwood mansion in Nashville, TN. Surprising her with both the Kiniry’s and Reller’s to celebrate with them.
